MAX S. CALL
AMMON, ID --Max Stewart Call, 67, of Idaho Falls, died September 7, 2003,
at his home of complications of diabetes.
He was born June 19, 1936, at Pocatello, to Roscoe Cyril
Call and Hazel Hill Call. He spent his early years in Pocatello and attended
Bonneville Grade School and Pocatello High School. He served in the U. S.
Air Force as an Airman 2nd Class.
He married Carolene Houghton October 30, 1952, at Pocatello.
Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December
17, 1977. They made their home in Ammon, where he worked as a truck driver
and then managed the Ammon and Ammon West LDS Stake Farms for 21 years until
his retirement.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, he served as a Ward Clerk and Executive Secretary. He enjoyed horses,
boating, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Brother: Gwyn [Lula] Call, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Norma [Lee] Bettis, Pocatello, ID
13 Grandchildren & 13 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Elwin Call and Tharrell
Call, three sisters, Beulah Nichols, Lola Pratt, and Velma Call, and a great
grandchild, Dakota Wood.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September
11, 2003, at the Ammon LDS 2nd Ward, 2945 Selway, with Bishop James Flamm
officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) and Thursday beginning
at 11:30 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home East Side.
Military Rites will be provided by the Bonneville County
Veterans Team.
