They made their home in Idaho Falls, where she was a wonderful homemaker, gardener and mother. Don passed away February 17, 1989. She worked for various potato warehouses in the area. She became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 71 years, which she remained faithful to for the remainder of her life. She loved being a visiting teacher and served as a visiting teaching supervisor. Mavis was an excellent cook and had her family over for dinner often. Everyone loved her fried chicken. She loved holidays with family and feeding her squirrels and birds. She spent lots of time in her beautiful yard and enjoyed being outdoors. Mavis was strong, a hard worker, and had wit.
