Mavis Aileen Lile

Mavis Aileen Lile (Meyers) returned to her Heavenly Father on June 10, 2026. She was 84 years old.

Born on May 6, 1942, in Vineburg, California, Mavis married Raymond Wayne Lile on September 10, 1965. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.

Mavis had so many skills and talents. She was a voracious reader, a teacher, an artist, and a lover of music and knowledge. Mavis spent her entire life in service to her fellow man. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many callings, from Primary to Relief Society, but as a Gospel Doctrine teacher she truly shined. Her love of the gospel was passed on through the lessons and doctrine she taught. Mavis always reflected the unconditional love of Jesus Christ and was always there to comfort, hug, and express that love to anyone.

Mavis continued her service throughout her personal life. Beyond raising three children, she was a caregiver. She sacrificed many years providing care to her mother, her mother-in-law, her two sisters, and her husband, giving them comfort and love as they transitioned into the hereafter.

Mavis was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wayne Lile, and her sisters, Kathryn Joyce Kunde and Sharron Lynn Meyers. She is survived by her three children, Kristina Aileen Schlosser, Michelle Trumble-Van Leuven, and Christopher Ingram Lile; her five grandchildren, Amber Trumble, Josh Trumble, Benjamin Lile, Matthew Lile, and Noah Lile; and her three great-grandchildren; Eli, Grace, and Temperence Grigsby.

As per her request, a small graveside ceremony will be held for family and close friends at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Ammon Cemetery.
