Maurine Burgie

MAURINE BURGIE WOODINVILLE, WASHINGTON -- Maurine Field Burgie, 82, of Woodinville, Washington, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away October 24, 2004, peacefully in her sleep from natural causes. She was born April 29, 1922, to Frank and Ceretta Empey Field. She attended high school in Ammon. She later attended cosmetology school and owned her own business until 1988. She married Dewey Burgie October 12, 1943, in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Dewey preceded her in death February 21, 1989. She enjoyed her family, friends, golf, and was an avid reader. She is survived by daughters, Sally Burgie, of Idaho Falls; Susan Hammer and son-in-law, Richard of Woodinville, Washington; sisters, Ruth Reed of Idaho Falls, Lois Tenny of Ogden, Utah; and sister-in-law, Rosalie Field of Idaho Falls; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Lynn and Grant Field, a sister-in-law, Marie Field and two brothers-in-law, Verl Reed and Max Tenny. Burial will be at the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
