Mauree enjoyed working at Zane's Jewelers, her family's business, from the time she was a young girl. She accented her yard with roses and loved to get her hands dirty gardening. She was an avid reader and belonged to Readers' Circle Book Club. Her hobbies included sewing, playing tennis, painting, cake decorating, crafts, and decorating her home. Mauree loved to entertain family and friends in her home. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Relief Society teacher, Ward Young Women's President and as a counselor in the Stake Primary Presidency. Teaching was a joy to her whether she was doing a presentation for church, civic, or a craft group or teaching tennis to the neighborhood children.
