MARGARET YAMASAKI IDAHO FALLS, ID - Margaret Kaoru Tanikuni Yamasaki, 86, of Idaho Falls, died September 25, 2005 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center She was born October 16, 1918, in Pocatello, to Jujiro Tanikuni and Tome Okano Tanikuni. She attended schools in the area, graduating from Shelley High School. On November 25, 1944, she married Frank Katsuki Yamasaki in Idaho Falls. She was a mother and homemaker. She also worked at S & S Tent & Awning and at Kelly Canyon. She was an active member in the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the J.A.C.L. (Japanese American Citizens League). She enjoyed baking, sewing, and crocheting. Margaret loved serving others as well as spending time with her grandchildren; Dr. Frank (Michelle) Yamada, Trish (Kevin) McCarthy, Jill (Brett) Cohen and Lynn (Keith) Schnekenburger. Survivors are: Husband: Frank Yamasaki, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Karen (Fred) Furuichi, Fairfield, CA 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank and George; and a sister, Ann. Memorial Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2005, at the Trinity United Methodist Church (237 N. Water) with Reverend Brenda Seme and Dr. Frank Yamada officiating.
