Matthew Russell Steele, 40, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 12, 2018, near Heise, Idaho, of injuries received in an ATV accident.
Matt was born September 18, 1977, in Idaho Falls, to Larry Russell Steele and Denice Lamont Steele. He grew up in the area and graduated from Fairview High School. He loved working with his hands and as he grew up, worked a variety of jobs.
He enjoyed cars; all aspects of them. His passion was riding his ATV year round and would put tracks on it during the winter. He was always willing to help come drag someone’s snowmobile or ATV out of the forest. Matt loved camping. If he could have lived in the woods as a mountain man, he would have been very happy.
Matt is survived by his mother, Denice Lamont of Idaho Falls, ID; father, Larry Steele of Idaho Falls, ID; and a brother, Skip (Lori) Steele of Idaho Falls, ID.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two cousins, Brett and Shane Lamont.
