MARY MYLER WAGONER
Mary Myler Wagoner, 89 (just two weeks short of her 90th birthday), passed away at the Idaho Falls Care Center, October 23, 2001. She was born November 8, 1911 at Butler's Island (Beam's Flat) just outside of Lewisville, Idaho. Her parents were Orrin Monroe Myler, Sr. and Mary Boyes Walker. She resided in the Upper Snake River Valley all her life (resided in Swan Valley, Idaho 13 years).
She married Louis Arave Collins, June 8, 1932. They were later divorced. She then married Henry J. Goettsche, March 19, 1949. They were later divorced. She married Quincey A. Wagoner, who preceded her in death, August 7, 1977. She graduated from High School but continued learning her whole life. When she was in her late 70's and early 80's she took Community Ed classes in typing and computer basics. She served in PTA's as president and on committees. She was a teacher's aid in the Osgood School . She worked with her grandsons and great-grandsons at Treasure Mountain Scout Camp treating the scouts to some wonderful "scratch" homemade cooking several summers.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life and served in many leadership capacities. She had a zest for life and enjoyed family, grandchildren, traveling, quilting, canning, cooking and candy making to share with family, friends and neighbors. She had a son, James M. Collins of Boise who preceded her in death in April, 2000.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James B. (Sharon) Colson, Kennewick, Washington and a son, Louis Maine Collins, Las Vegas, Nevada. She has 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Three sisters preceded her in death. Surviving siblings are a brother, Orrin M. (Rayola) Myler, Blackfoot, Sisters, Mrs. Keith A. (Louie) Bithell, Mrs. Arnold (Leonora) Spencer, Mrs. Wallace (Sarah) Grover, Mrs. Darrell (Joy) Hinckley (Idaho Falls) now serving a mission in Charleston, North Carolina.
Her services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2001 at the Idaho Falls LDS 20th Ward (651 Gladstone). Family will receive friends Thursday evening at Wood Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and one hour prior to services Friday. Interment will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
