MARY BETH TRUSSELL
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO: Mary Beth Kennedy Trussell, 38, of Idaho Falls, returned to our Father in Heaven June 15, 2002, after a courageous battle with brain cancer, at her home in Idaho Falls.
Mary Beth Kennedy was born May 27, 1964, in Riverside, California, to Marcia Bird and William A. Kennedy. She was the middle child of three girls. She graduated from Eastern Idaho Technical College in 1980.
She married Cody Wendell Trussell, of Idaho Falls, in 1996. She remained in Idaho Falls with her husband until her death. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved working with beads and stones to make beautiful pieces of jewelry for friends and family. She especially enjoyed working in the garden with her husband, friends, along with nieces and nephews. The flowers she grew and dried were carefully saved throughout the year, she would make pilgrimages to her grandmother’s and brother-in-law’s grave with these dried flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Cody Trussell of Idaho Falls, ID, and her Mother, Marcia Bird; Father, William A. Kennedy, and two sisters, Susan (David) Woodall and Julie Blakeman, nieces, nephews, and numerous other children, they all knew her as “Aunt Mary Mary”, along with extended Humphries-Trussell family in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Idaho Falls, Idaho. We also can’t forget their dog, Baby Blue Honey Moon.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2002 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls. The family will meet with friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be the following day at 11:00 a.m. in the Aspen Hills Cemetery in Jackson, Wyoming, at the foot of Snow King Mountain.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Mary Beth Kennedy Trussell Trust account, through Wood Funeral Home.
To Mary Beth,As children we played together more as cousin and friend than Uncle and Niece. I have fond memories of those times. We grew up and moved apart. I can only remember seeing you a few times after we were adults. A few years ago you went out of your way and looked me up in New Mexico. I thank you for that visit. It gave me a chance to see what a loving and wonderful person you had become. It was also my first chance to meet Cody.I am thankful that I got a chance to spend a couple of day with you and Cody towards the end of your journey here on this Earth. I thank you for the hug. I will always remember you and the strength that you had as you fought this last battle. May God bless and be with you as you take this next journey. With all my Love, Alan W Bird
