Mary Hobbs Towe

MARY TOWE IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mary Ann Hughes Hobbs Towe, 97, of Idaho Falls, died May 17, 2007, at Life Care Center of natural causes. She was born October 8, 1909, in Samaria, Idaho, to David James Hughes and Mary Ann Waldron Hughes. She attended schools in Oneida County, Idaho. She married Gerald Frank Hobbs November 23, 1931, in Fremont County, Idaho. He preceded her in death in 1937. She married Willie Frank Towe in 1941, in Pocatello, Idaho, and he died in 1955. She has lived in Ukiah, California, Fremont County, Idaho and Idaho Falls. She worked as a cook and seamstress before working at and retiring from R.T. French Company in Shelley. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and playing cards. Survivors include: Daughter: Leola LeClair of Eugene, OR Son: Ronald Hobbs of Willows, CA Daughter: Deb Whitten of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Elizabeth Ballard of Salt Lake City, UT 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, a daughter, Chris, and a grandson, Billy. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Jared Fuhriman officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour before services Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. ------------------------------------------
