SALSGIVER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mary Elenore Burchfield Salsgiver, 65, of Idaho Falls, died September 12, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. She was born January 29, 1937 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Clarence Charles Burchfield and Eva Smith Burchfield. She grew up in Tennessee. She married Robert Lewis Salsgiver, February 28, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio. They lived in California, where she worked as a beautician, and then as a dietician in a hospital, before moving to Idaho Falls. He preceded her in death August 18, 1998. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, cross stitch, camping, cooking, and gardening. She had a very special relationship with her grandchildren, Tamara, Christopher, Ashley, Elizabeth, Sarah, Robert Paul, Margie, Summer, Glenn, Susanne, Saphire, Daniel and Joel, and great grandson, Dallas. Surviving are:Son: Daniel (Melinda) Salsgiver, NCSon: Robert (Sherree) Salsgiver, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Peggy [Pete] Groth, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Lisa (Frank) Kuck, Idaho Falls, IDGranddaughter: Margie Groth Torres, Idaho Falls, IDGranddaughter: Summer Groth, Idaho Falls, IDGrandson: Glenn Preuss, Idaho Falls, IDGranddaughter: Susanne Preuss, Idaho Falls, IDBrother: Victor (Corene) Burchfield, ORSister: Martha June Moore, OHSister: Algia Rose Park, OHSister: Annie Hopper Gray, OH 13 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Denise Salsgiver, and two brothers, John and Charles Burchfield. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Chaplain John Piirto officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services on Saturday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue.
