Mary Kathryn David Meyer, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away on July 2, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village.
She was born February 26, 1927, at the David Farm Home in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, to Joseph W. David and Susan Elmira David. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from George’s Township High School. She later attended Eastern Idaho Technical College where she earned her Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA).
On April 18, 1954, she married Leroy Carl Meyer in Jacksonville, Florida, and lived there for four months. They moved to Moorhead, Minnesota for three years; Fargo, North Dakota for three years; Albuquerque, New Mexico for fifteen years; Sedalia, Colorado for fourteen months; and for the past 35 years have resided in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She worked as a telephone operator and as a CNA at the Idaho Falls Care Center. She volunteered as a school crossing guard and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mary was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was an artist and enjoyed painting. She also loved flowers and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John (Delorian), Morgan, James, Bill, and two sisters, Ruth (Ed) and Elizabeth (Bob).
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 N. Water, with Reverend Ruth Marsh officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and on Monday from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
