MAXINE FRIDENSTINE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mary Maxine Linger Fridenstine, 84, of Idaho Falls, died May 10, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born August 22, 1922, at Idaho Falls, to Charles Reuben Linger and Ethel “Officer” Linger. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. During World War II, she worked building aircraft and was one of the “Rosie the Riveter” girls.
On August 25, 1946, she married Albert Edward Fridenstine, Jr. in Idaho Falls. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a teller at First Security Bank.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church and sang in the church choir. She was also choir director at St. John’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed oil painting, sewing, gardening, and camping. Maxine was an accomplished singer, did some professional singing, recorded a record, and also performed at the Civic Auditorium.

Son: Albert "Ed" (Cristina) Fridenstine, III of Las Cruces, NM
Daughter: Lisa Ann (Jim Raftery) Bower of Meridian, ID
Daughter: Jan Marie (Alan) Saxton of Boise, ID
Brother: Harrison K. Linger of Louisville, KY
Brother: Charles R. (Pat) Linger, Jr. of Santa Barbara, CA
3 Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 North Water, with Reverend Brenda Sene officiating. The family will visit with
friends following services at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
