MARY BEASLEY IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mary Evelyn Griffith Beasley, 100, of Idaho Falls, died April 12, 2010, at Lincoln Court Retirement Community. Mary was born April 3, 1910, to Thomas G. Griffith and Laura Elizabeth Haney Griffeth, in Kansas City, Missouri, where she was raised and schooled until she was 16. She then moved with family members to Idaho Falls, where she completed high school. After graduating, she worked for a local attorney for two years. It was during this time that she met John Harward Beasley. Mary, her mother, and sister then moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked for an insurance company. John was living and working in Los Angeles and they married in 1931. After John's retirement in 1970, they moved to Idaho Falls to be near family, settling on the original Beasley property. Through the years they took many trips around the United States and Canada, taking moving pictures to share with family and friends. John preceded her in death on November 1, 1994. Mary was an avid reader, very skilled in needle point, knitting and embroidery. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Mary celebrated her 100th birthday on April 3, 2010. She is survived by: Nephew: Donald (Florence) Curnutt, Rigby, ID Niece: Nellie (Guy) Poulsen, Rigby, ID Nephew: Mike (Karen) Curnutt, Idaho Falls, ID Niece: Pat (Pete) Curnutt, Idaho Falls, ID Niece: Marjie (Jack) Sage, Moscow, ID Niece: Barbara Bacon, Rigby, ID Nephew: Paul Armijo, Rigby, ID Niece: June Matlick, Reston, VA Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2010 at the First Christian Church, 1800 - 12th Street, with Reverend Connie Day officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:15 until 9:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N.
