Marvin L. Wyatt - 02/26/2003 Marvin L. Wyatt - 02/26/2003 MARVIN L. WYATT IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marvin L. Wyatt, 93, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, died February 25, 2003, at the Lake Havasu Care Center. Marvin was born December 3, 1909, in Wellsville, Utah, the 11th of 12 children born to John and Betsy Leavitt Wyatt. His schooling was in Wellsville where he was also involved in rodeos, worked at the Morning Milk Company, and worked on a farm owned by his mother. He married Kathryn Brookes and they had two boys, Leon and Warren. After they divorced, Marvin's mother helped him with the boys until his marriage to LaVon Palmer. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They had two children, Ramona and Norman. With the help of his brother, Lewis, he moved the family to Osgood, Idaho, where he leased a 320 acre farm from the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company. In the winters, he worked in the Idaho Potato Growers Warehouse in Idaho Falls. LaVon passed away May, 1968. Marvin continued living and working in Idaho. In February, 1971, he married Hazel Nelson from Ogden, Utah. After several years working in Kilgore for the Skelton Ranch and Snake River Equipment in Idaho Falls, he and Hazel moved to Ogden, where he worked for the U. S. Forest Service. They traveled back to Osgood in the fall to work for Morgan Eames & Sons during the potato harvest. They became snow birds, enjoying winters in Arizona. Marvin was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving as Elders Quorum President, Seventy and High Priest. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, woodworking, reading, dancing and traveling. He and Hazel enjoyed their membership in the Eagles. Hazel passed away in 1988 and Marvin stayed in Ogden with winters in Arizona. He later left Utah and moved to Quartzsite after meeting Marie Fesler, who became his companion. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Lake Havasu Care Center, all his friends in Quartzsite, and especially Marie Fesler for her love and care. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, March 1, 2003, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m., both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
