IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marvin Lee Virgil, 63, of Ammon, died March 5, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 13, 1945, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ira Randle Virgil and Bertha Viola Stauffer Virgil. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bonneville High School. He continued his education at Idaho State University in Pocatello where he received his Associate Degree.
On November 20, 1975, he married Kathleen Humphries in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They were later divorced. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
He was also a chartered member of Trinity Methodist Church. Marvin enjoyed competitive car racing, the great outdoors, and loved time spent in local coffee shops.
Survivors include:
Son: Lynn Marvin Virgil, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Alethea Mae Cox, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Randy Virgil, Idaho Falls, ID
Mother: Bertha V. Virgil, Idaho Falls, ID
5 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ira; and his sister, Beverly Virgil.
The family will visit with friends on Friday, March 7, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 9 to 11 a.m. both at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon.
