Marvelle Morgan, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 3, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Marvelle was born November 14, 1923, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Willard J. Ball and Ethel Singley Ball. She grew up and attended schools in Ammon, Idaho.
She married Lavelle "Val" E. Morgan in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union were born children, Brad and Kay. Marvelle and Val made their home in Idaho Falls where Marvelle was an amazing and kind mother to her two children.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a care giver to her brothers, sisters and parents throughout their lives. She was also a member of the Sweet Adelines and performed around the local area.
She had a tenacious memory and loved working crossword puzzles until the time of her passing. She even had her husband Val working word seeker books at the age of 91 until he passed away at 94. She said she was determined that neither one of them were going to get Alzheimer's!
Marvelle cared for Val until he died in 2014. Then she moved to Lincoln Court retirement community where she made new friends and rediscovered acquaintances from her youth.
Marvelle will always be remembered for her enduring compassion, kindness, and generosity. Whether it was helping care for a brother or sister, babysitting grand children, great grand children or many of the family dogs, we could count on her to always be there for us. We could expect daily phone calls from her as she always had to check on her family before she went to sleep.
Her family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses on the fifth floor of EIRMC (Jessica, Camille, Amber, Mandee) for making her last days comfortable, to the staff at Lincoln Court Retirement Community (especially Shawn) for all the help she received daily.
She will be missed for the love she gave to her children, grand children, and great grand children.
Marvelle is survived by daughter, Kay (Roger) Whitmill of Spencer, ID; son, Brad (Debra) Morgan of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Elmoyne Holbrook of Bountiful, UT; sister, Margene (DeVerl) Nish of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Jeneal Wimer of Bountiful, UT; sister, Barbara Wadsworth of Montello, NV; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren; and her dog, Daisy.
