Martha "Marti" Nelson

Martha "Marti" Nelson, 47, of Iona, passed away April 26, 2021, at her home.

Marti was born December 19, 1973, in Boise, Idaho, to Ronald H. Nelson and Diana Tyler Nelson. She grew up in Iona. Marti attended Bonneville High School and went on to graduate from Skyline Continuation School. Following graduation, she attended Idaho State University.

Marti worked as a store clerk at Sinclair.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marti enjoyed camping, music, family reunions, and most of all, spending time with her two granddaughters.

Marti is survived by her loving parents, Ron and Diana Nelson of Iona, ID; son, Tory Mitchell (Elise) Nelson of Rexburg, ID; brother, Dane (Julie) Nelson of Idaho Falls, ID; and two granddaughters, Lucy and Isla Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, D.C. and Marilyn Ririe Tyler and Harold and Ruth Nelson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Iona 12th Ward, 5169 Denning Avenue, with Bishop Jason Cooper officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
