MARTHA MESSICK
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Martha Amy Ball Messick, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 3, 2006, at her home of natural causes.
She was born December 15, 1918, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ephraim Barry Ball and Laura Elizabeth Hatch Ball. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Lincoln Elementary. She graduated from Iona High School.
She married Ross Moore and he preceded her in death. She married Roy Steadham and they were later divorced. She married Clifford Messick December 3, 1962. She was a homemaker and mother and worked for many years at L. S. Taube and Rogers Brother Foods. Clifford preceded her in death in 1988.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, embroidery, latchhook, crossword puzzles, board games, fishing, and grandkids.

Brother: Arthur (Carol) Ball, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: George (Paulette) Ball, Idaho Falls, ID
31 Grandchildren, 57 Great Grandchildren, and 16 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Ross Moore and Clifford Messick, three sons, Don Moore, LaMont Messick, and Darwin Messick, six brothers, Chance Ball, Mark Ball, Elmer Ball, Laverle Ball, Alton Ball, and Cecil Ball, and two sisters, May Denning and Ruth Moore.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2006, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
