Martha "Marti Dole" Dole

Click Here To View Memorial Video Martha Wilma Dole, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 13, 2015, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family. Martha was born June 4, 1944, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Robert Thomas Humpherys and Wilma Isabell Taylor Humpherys. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She also attended Sacred Heart Hospital in Idaho Falls, where she received her nursing degree. On January 28, 1972, she married Dennis Lynn Dole. To this union were born three children, Tiffany, Todd, and Darren. Martha and Dennis were later divorced. Martha made her home in Idaho Falls, where she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Throughout her career she worked at the INL, Brooke Dermatology, Smith Clinic, VanGendren & Boge, and as a special needs nurse in home care. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings over the years, including Primary, Scouts, and nursery. She enjoyed painting her nails, quilting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always involved in humanitarian efforts and in the service of others. Martha is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Tracey) Mitchell of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Todd (Emily) Dole of Bonney Lake, WA; son, Darren (Amber) Dole of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Verna Thorngren of Menan, ID; sister, Linda (Dal Ray) Lake of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Gail Oswald of Boise, ID; 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Wilma Humpherys; sister, Tammy Humpherys; brother, Robert Eugene Humpherys; brother-in-law, Mont Thorngren; and a niece, Kelli Ann Larsen. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Brian McBride of the Idaho Falls LDS Sand Creek 1st Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services, both times at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.

Friday September 18, 2015 , 11:00 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side

The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services, both times at the funeral home.
