Marshall Armand Dullum, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 10, 2017, at his home. He was under the care of his family and Aspen Home Health & Hospice. Marshall was born October 22, 1927, in Hendrum, Minnesota, to Marshall Dullum and Anna Opheim Dullum. He spent his early years in Hendrum, then moved to California, where he graduated from Berkeley High School. He also attended the University of California at Berkeley. On June 13, 1959, he married Elizabeth Eola "Betty" Martin in Inglewood, California, where he was a police officer. To this union were born four children, Jeffrey, Bridget, Chuck, and Carrie. In 1970 Marshall and Betty moved to Woodland, California, where he worked as a Yolo County Weights & Measures Inspector. He retired in 1985, after which he continued working, fixing major appliances full-time as "Custom Appliance." He and Betty moved to Idaho Falls in 2005, where they’ve lived ever since. He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was active in veterans organizations like the American Legion. Marshall enjoyed woodworking and fixing washers, dryers, stove, and refrigerators. Marshall was a kind and friendly gentleman that made friends wherever he was. His happiest times were taking his family camping. Marshall and Betty loved sharing their home with friends and family – everyone was welcome and encouraged to make themselves at home. He loved golfing with the guys and lit up around his grandchildren. Every grandchild and great grandchild was lucky enough to spend time with their Papa. Marshall is survived by his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Betty Dullum of Idaho Falls, ID; four children, Jeffrey (Nancy) Dullum of Davis, CA, Bridget (Patrick) Kirby of Sacramento, CA, Chuck (Joanna) Dullum of San Diego, CA, and Carrie (Rod) Rushby of Cascade, ID; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Anna Dullum, and his brother, Fredrick Dullum. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (9th and Lee), with Father Raul Covarrubias officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 16th, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with visitation following until 9:00 p.m. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
