Marlene LaRae Quinn, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 6, 2026, at The Wildflower Assisted Living in Rigby. She was under the care of Aspen Hospice.
Marlene was born June 5, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Dwain Landon and Viola Cunningham Landon. She grew up and attended schools in Osgood and Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School as Valedictorian.
On May 19, 1953, she married John David Quinn in the Idaho Falls Temple. Marlene and John made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Marlene was a homemaker and mother.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, including Relief Society President, Primary Chorister, Temple Worker, and Ward Historian. She served a mission with her husband in New Zealand and Australia. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and played ladies softball.
Marlene is survived by her daughter, Aldean (Bliss) Wheeler of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Allen (Christine) Quinn of Moses Lake, WA; son, Paul (Valine) Quinn of Midway, UT; son, Vaughn Quinn of Rigby, ID; daughter, Sheila (Stuart) Purser of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Ranae (Robert) Smith of Rexburg, ID; daughter-in-law, Beckie Quinn of Ucon, ID; brother, Sherrol (Karen) Landon of Ucon, ID; 37 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, Wade Quinn; daughter-in-law, Cindy Quinn; three sisters; and one brother.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Coltman Ward, 12448 North 5th East. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., both visitations at the church. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
