Marlene Hix

Marlene Hix, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 2, 2017, at her home. Marlene was born January 16, 1951, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Leo Bartley Slagowski and Arva Ileen Slaugh Slagowski. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho and graduated from Weiser High School. On August 25, 2004, she married Richard Larry Hix in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Marlene and Larry made their home in Idaho Falls, where Marlene worked in many positions for CAL Ranch. Marlene is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 32 years, Larry Hix of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Tisha Case of Boise, ID; daughter, Leslie Vitagliano of Boise, ID; step-daughter, Michelle (Mark) Filipsack of Thorton, CO; step-daughter, Marlo (Jeff) Spreng of Billings, MT; sister, Laura (Keith) Flower of Firth, ID; sister, Dawn Slagowski of Park City, UT; brother, James (Tammy) Slagowski of Lehi, UT; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. No services are being held.
