Mark Jefferson Schell, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 22, 2013.
He was born August 30, 1948, in Watertown, New York to Glenn William Schell and Rhoda Zecher Schell. He grew up and attended public schools in Watertown. He continued his education at Rochester Institute of Technology where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and later graduated from the University of Idaho with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
On June 27, 1982, he married Sherree Elizabeth Arnold in Blackfoot, Idaho. Together they built a loving family and a successful business based on the principles of being responsible for ones self, helping others succeed and living life to the fullest.
He was Vice President and Technical Sales Manager of Schell Distributing Inc. where he represented AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricant products in the United States and Canada. Prior to that he had retired from INL in 2004 after 31 years in engineering and project management. He was a member of the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce, LeTip International Inc., Bonneville County Republican Central Committee, Corvettes of Southeast Idaho, Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) and was a Certified Lubrication Specialist.
As a devoted husband and father, family was foremost to Mark. He attended every event whether sports, concert, pageant, recital, or science projects, he was there. Mark enjoyed flying, working in his shop on everything mechanical, and mentoring and teaching life skills. He especially was a mentor to his daughters and took great pride in teaching them to be independent and self sufficient in their own lives. His lessons will live on in the lives he has touched.

Funeral services will be held at 10:06 a.m. in memory of his radio show, Peak Performance, on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) with Pastor Rick Brown, of Calvary Chapel, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9-10:00 a.m. prior, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
