Mark Heath

Mark E. Heath, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 2, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Mark was born February 4, 1958, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to John Emery Heath and Deon Cook Heath. He was the youngest of five children. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1977. He also attended plumbing trade school. He was a member of the National Guard where he was known for his cooking and he was a heavy equipment operator. Mark made his home in Idaho Falls where he worked as a mobile equipment operator for Basic American Foods. He was a Christian and was very involved in the Boy Scouts. He worked as a camp counselor during high school. He was proud to be an Eagle Scout. He loved camping, hunting, coin collecting, watching movies, cooking over campfires, and DJ-ing for dances--he was an excellent dancer. He loved shooting guns, riding motorcycles, and archery. His favorite holiday was Halloween. He was a backyard mechanic and enjoyed working on cars. He never met a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone. Mark is survived by his wife, Lorinde Schisel of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Stephen Heath of Shelley, ID; son, Ryan (Korrine Rasmussen) Heath of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Khyleigh Brown of Preston, ID; sister, Linda Cleveland of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, David E. Heath of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Susan (Clark) Jones of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Cinda (Thomas) Hammond of Idaho Falls, ID; and a granddaughter, Ireland. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Don J. Heath, and brother-in-law, Robert Cleveland. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
