Mark Haskin, 64, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away March 28, 2021.
Mark was born July 23, 1956, in Tallahassee, Florida, to Glenn "Jack" Haskin and Elizabeth "Beth" Haskin. On November 1, 1979, he married Francisca Cordova in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To their union were born one son and three daughters.
Mark graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. Mark had a lengthy career in the United States Navy. He retired as a US Navy Captain, with over 29 years of service as a Nuclear Submarine Officer. During that time, he was awarded many decorations including: Legion of Merit, two Meritorious Service Medals, six Navy and Marine Commendation Medals, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and several unit awards.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Francisca Haskin; son, Adrian Haskin of Norwich, CT; daughters, Tina Haskin of Atlanta, GA, Veronica Haskin-Dusseau of Rio Rancho, NM, and Jaime Haskin-Ramos of Reading, PA; grandson, Philip Haskin of Gainesville, FL; granddaughters, Marisa Dusseau of Rio Rancho, NM, Olivia Haskin of Norwich, CT, and Isabella Ramos of Reading, PA; and a sister, Sherry Schumann of McKinney, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Navy Honor Guard.
