Mark Camp Evans

Mark Camp Evans, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away on July 7, 2026, after his long and courageous battle with ALS. He was under the care of his loving family.

Mark was born October 26, 1966, in Logan, Utah, to Myron Cluff Evans and Lois Marilyn Camp Evans. He grew up and attended schools in Preston, Terreton and Hamer, Idaho. He graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1985.

On August 7, 1987, he married Tammy Lee Jensen in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mark and Tammy made their home in Idaho Falls, where they raised their two boys Curtis and Christopher. Mark enjoyed his profession in Sales.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed several outdoor activities with his family and friends such as, camping, dirt biking, RZR riding, and fishing. He had a wide variety of hobbies and was always busy. In his later years Mark and Tammy enjoyed going on road bike trips with their friends. Mark loved building custom RZR's and riding in the mountains. Most of all Mark loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a fun and loving Grandpa. He had a wonderful humor, quick smile, and kind soul.

Mark is survived by his wife, Tammy Lee Evans of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Christopher Cluff (Brynn) Evans of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Teresa (Mark) Richardson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Michael (Leslie) Evans of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Wendy (Dave) Westover of Alabama; sister, Loana (Troy) Barker of Mapleton, UT; brother, David (Alie) Evans of Ririe, ID; brother, Daniel (Aimee) Evans of Layton, UT; brother, Nathan Evans of Boise, ID; brother, Samuel (Liz) Evans of Boise, ID; and 10 grandchildren, Braxton, Bailey, Kayson, Adilyn, Kalli, Kambria, Almina, Alice, Alyvia, and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Lois Evans, and his son, Curtis Mark Evans.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, River Road Building, 3370 N. 5th W in Idaho Falls. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the New Sweden Cemetery.
