MARK BYBEE
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Mark James Bybee, was born on April 16, 1971, and left this world to enter Heaven on May 7, 2006. Mark is the beloved son and best friend of BJ and Karin Bybee of Idaho Falls.
Mark graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1989, followed by a year at BSU in Boise. He married the love of his life, Carly Allison Kanady July 4, 2004, in Idaho Falls. They lived in California, where Mark worked in construction for Select Finish as a finish carpenter, a superintendent and an estimator. Mark was well known for his meticulous quality and talent in carpentry. He also worked for Intermountain Construction and he created much of the spectacular interior woodwork in the River Run Lodge and Sun Valley Lodge in Sun Valley, Idaho. He made everlasting friends in California, including Jeff McClure Sr. and Jeff McClure Jr.
Mark was well known for his generosity, kind heart, good nature, and most of all, his exceptional sense of humor. Mark had a life altering experience at the age of 14, working in the soup kitchen at St. Mark's for the summer. He became friends with those who were less fortunate and frequently bought little gifts for them.
Mark loved the outdoors and was an avid downhill skier. He was on skis at the age of three. When he was five, his Grandpa Bob took him from the top of Targhee for the first time. He cried all the way, but when he got to the bottom, he wanted to go again. He conquered that mountain and skiing was always his passion.
Mark was the life of every party; well known for his infectious laughter, practical jokes, and his ability to use his "brains" to tease a chuckle from his friends. He loved to BBQ and enjoyed all of the great times he had with his parents.
Mark loved motocross, fly-fishing, water skiing, wake boarding, and all sports. He loved the Anaheim Angels, the Lakers, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Last week he was thrilled when he received a phone call from Randall Cunningham, his all-time favorite sports hero, former Eagles quarterback and fellow Christian.
Mark will always be found in the hearts of his best friends, JD Conrad, Mike Dimick, Mel Savage,
Yo Murphy, Tim Mueller, Jason Davis, Nate Thorne, Junior Robledo and his brother-in-law, Ryan Kanady.
Mark is survived by his wife and best friend, Carly, his parents, BJ and Karin Bybee, his daughters, Annellie Jo McArthur of Boise, Jordynn Fisher of Idaho Falls, and his little brother, Dustin Johnson of Boise.
A memorial service in celebration of Mark's life will be held Thursday, May 11, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, 4250 South 25 East (Hitt Road) in Idaho Falls. The family will meet with family and friends from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Yo Murphy Foundation, 3144 Homestead Lane, Idaho Falls, ID 83404 or the Hands of Hope Hospice, 395 Kingsmill Circle, Idaho Falls, 83401.
For all those who know and love Mark, celebrate that his pain is relieved and he is in the arms of Jesus. Remember the love he gave you, the memories you share, and what a privilege it was to have known him.
