Mark Allen Bindenagel, 48, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 4, 2017, at his home. Mark was born December 10, 1968, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Beverly Ann Gasper Bindenagel. He grew up and attended schools in Grand Island, Nebraska, and graduated from Esperanza High School in Anaheim, California. Mark studied criminal justice at Marian Military Institute and Cal State Fullerton. He obtained his Bachelors from Fresno State University. In 1998, he married Therese Kirstine Williams. To this union were born three sons, Evan, Ethan and Braden. Therese and Mark were later divorced. Mark worked for 18 years as a police officer and was most recently a Federal Security officer at Paragon Systems. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Idaho Falls. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, road cycling and his three dogs. He loved spending time with his children and fiancee, Sarah Leonard. Mark is survived by his sons, Evan, Ethan and Braden, all of Ammon, ID; and sister, Marcia (Phil) Cottros of Cary, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm Street with Cathy Chisholm and Rick Spielman officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors at PO Box 3199, Camdenton, MO 65020 or at www.nationalcops.org.
