Vonda Marjorie Browning Park, 81, formerly of Ammon, passed away May 25, 2012, at St. Timothy’s Assisted Living Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Marjorie was born January 13, 1931, in Lorenzo, Idaho, to Bert Cleon Browning and Nellie Ernestine Perry Browning. The family moved to Lincoln, Idaho, where she grew up and attended schools. On July 16, 1947, she married Jack Park in Lincoln, Idaho. They moved to Idaho Falls, where they lived for 14 years. They then moved to Victor, Idaho, for a year and then briefly to Iona, Idaho. In 1964, they moved to Ammon, where she lived for 56 years. Her husband preceded her in death on June 17, 2006. In 2010, she traveled to Anchorage, Alaska, to be close to her daughter, Betty. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked as a manager at A&W and in the bakery department at Albertson’s. Marjorie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, sewing, quilting, crafts, reading, and snowmobiling. Survivors are: Daughter: Sherry (Lowell) Bitter, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sandra Park, Independence, MO Daughter: Betty Rieth, Anchorage, AK Brother: Donald (Josephine) Browning, Ammon, ID Brother: Merlyn (Shirley) Browning, Shelley, ID Sister: Delores Stephens, Las Vegas, NV Sister: Kathryn (Shane) Stears, Shelley, ID 12 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren with one on the way. Funeral Services are at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Jed Stanger of the Ammon LDS 3rd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery.
