Marjorie Klingenberg

MARJORIE KLINGENBERG IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marjorie Klingenberg, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully Monday, May 11, 2009, surrounded by her family. She enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend with her children and grandchildren. She was born July 21, 1921, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Vern L. and Etta Love Brown. She grew up and attended school in Idaho Falls. During World War II she worked for Bethlehem Shipyard in Alameda, California, as an inspector. There she met her sweetheart, David James Klingenberg. They were married in Bakersfield, California, on June 21, 1947. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 21, 1967. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed doing genealogy and lovingly served for decades as a visiting teacher. She made everyone feel welcome and cared for in her home. She touched the lives of many with her unconditional love. Marjorie is survived by her son, Richard Klingenberg, daughter-in-law, Patricia Klingenberg, and stepson, James (Debbie) Klingenberg, all of Idaho Falls. She also leaves behind her three nieces who she loved dearly, Lisa (Michael) Denning of Idaho Falls, Linda (Richard) Groom of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Janet (John) Roberts of Orem, Utah. She had five grandchildren and was “Grandma Margie” to seventeen others, and then to their children as well. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Melvin, Alfred, Clinton and Dale Brown; and two sisters, Donna Brown and Darlene Pullman. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Mike Denning officiating. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood East Side. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park. ---------------------------------------------------- Condolences received online: Kathy Carnine kcarnine@msn.com I will be forever grateful for the love and caring I received from Aunt Margie. She was a wonderful woman, who I loved very much. My prayer for her family is that the sadness of her passing will be eased by all the memories you shared with her.
