MARJORIE E. BUCHANAN IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marjorie E. Buchanan ,87, died peacefully early Sunday morning, July 29, 2007, as the sun was rising at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Marjorie was born February 13, 1920, to Fern Curtis Evans and Lamar S. Evans in Provo, Utah. She attended school in Provo, Utah, and later attended BYU for a couple of years. She married Paul N. Farrer in 1936. They were later divorced. She married George W. Buchanan December 21, 1950, in Lehi, Utah. Marjorie was an avid bowler and golfer and won many trophies over the years. She was awarded a "lifetime membership" at Pine Crest Golf Course in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed camping and fishing and just being home. She adored her family and many grandchildren and was always counting her blessings. Survivors include: Daughter: Janet F. (Ron) Cook of Salmon, ID Son: James E. Buchanan of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Helen E. Steffan of American Fork, Ut Sister: Kay E. Phillips of Midvale, UT Sister-In-Law: Edith Evans of Ogden, UT 11 Grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Marilyn F. Wright, two brothers, Grant Evans, and an infant brother, Robert Evans, and a sister, Joan E. Cunningham. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services also at Wood Funeral Home.
