Click Here To View Memorial Video Phyllis Marjean “Jean” (Clem) Davies Hansen, 84, of Idaho Falls, crossed over to join her beloved husband, Norman, and her son, David, on October 25, 2014, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Marjean was born February 20, 1930, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jonathon Ray Davies and Maggie Edna Richards Davies. She married Norman C. Hansen on June 24, 1948, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 23, 1964. She loved playing softball in her younger years and played on the first Women’s League in Idaho Falls for several years. She loved bowling and enjoyed being on many different leagues. Marjean was a talented poet, and her children were blessed to have a beautiful poem written just for them that they will always cherish. She and Norman worked on the Hansen family farm for many years, where she worked in the fields and spent many hours making sure that planting and harvesting crews were fed and happy. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she and Norman served three missions. Marjean and Norman also participated in the LDS Indian Placement Program, fostering four Indian children. Family was the most important thing in her life, and the family gatherings always included her famous potato salad and chocolate cake. Marjean is survived by her daughter, Susan Parkinson of St. George, UT; son, Doug (Rita) Hansen of Hamilton, MO; son, Mike “Buck” (Angel) Hansen of Tetonia, ID; son, Joe (Marnee) Hansen of Kennewick, WA; brother, Allan (Betty) Davies of Pocatello, ID; brother, Bob (Barb) Davies of Pocatello, ID; brother, Kay (Juanita) Davies of Pocatello, ID; sister, Martha Davies Poole of Jackson, WY; sister, Francine (Ted) George of Jackson, WY. 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Hansen; son, David Hansen; sister, Faye Davies Bischoff, and two grandchildren, Amie Kay and Susan Marie. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue.
