MARION TRINNAMAN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marion Elizabeth Williams Trinnaman, 84, passed away
on May 17, 2007, in
Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Born July 3, 1922, in Ogden, Utah, to Deloss George
Williams and Bertha Gunter Williams. She was the oldest of five daughters. Marion
attended Weber High and Weber College in Ogden, where she was active in
speech, drama and was a state typing champion. She enlisted in the Navy and
served as a Link Pilot Instructor.
While stationed in Texas, she met her
sweetheart, Raymond Ralph Trinnaman.
On January 14, 1946, they were married
in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Returning to school on the GI Bill, Marion
graduated with honors from the
University of Utah in Education, taught elementary school for over 30 years,
and earned her Masters in Reading.
Marion enjoyed literature, the arts, and she was a gifted writer. Most of her spare time was dedicated to doing family history. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in every auxiliary and as a faithful Visiting Teacher. Marion and Ray enjoyed a rich life and were blessed with five children. Ray died in 1981. After her retirement Marion relocated to St. George, Utah, where she enjoyed new friends and shared a home with a sister and brother-in-law. In December of last year she moved in with her daughter in Idaho Falls. Marion was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her sister, Marlene Antonio of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sons, Gary (Robyn) Trinnaman of Highland, Utah, and James Trinnaman of Florence, Colorado; and one daughter, Jana (Larry) Johnston of Idaho Falls,
Idaho; six grandchildren, Bradley (Laura), Brittany, Cami, Tyler (Nicole),
Derilynn Trinnaman, Samuel Johnston and two great-grandchildren,
Jayden, Jordan & Zoey Trinnaman. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, her parents, three sisters, Virginia (Rudy) Glissman, Dorothy (Claire) Allred, Norrine (Dale) Needham, two brothers- in-law, Claire and Dale.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday, May 21, 2007, in the Highland LDS 33rd Ward chapel located at 9600 North 6800 West, Highland
Utah. The family will visit with friends Sunday, May 20th from 6 to 8 pm
at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah, and Monday for one
hour before services at the church. Burial will be at the Lehi City
Cemetery in Lehi, Utah.
