LESTER TOVEY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marion Lester Tovey, 79, of Idaho Falls,
passed away May 25, 2005, at Life Care Center of complications following a
stroke.
He was born November 9, 1925, in Malad, Idaho, to Lester
Malcolm Tovey and Edith Reynolds Tovey. He grew up and attended schools in
Malad, graduating from Malad High School. He then obtained an Associates Degree
from Idaho State College.
He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Army Air Corps
during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He married Harriet Rae Pharris in 1950 in Salt Lake City.
Four children were born to this union. They were later divorced. He worked
as a television engineer for KID-TV and Argonne National Laboratories for
35 years. He retired in 1990.
He was also a member of the Elks Lodge. He loved being a
grandpa to his grandchildren, Ashley, Michelle, Gregory, and Megan.

Son: Mark Pharris Tovey of Portland, OR
Son: Dwight Neil Tovey of Boise, OR
Sisters: Muriel Call, Kay Morgan, Sandra Fritzley, Marialiee Nielson, Jackie
Rieley, Linda Crader, Leslie Tovey, and Paula Harbor, and
Brothers: Terrell, DeForest, Weldon, Berthel, and Paul Tovey.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May
28, 2005, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with his brother, Weldon
Tovey, officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 12:30
to 2 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home.
His final resting place will be in Malad, Idaho, under the
direction of Wood Funeral Home.
