Marion Barzee

Marion Dean Barzee, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 14, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village.

Marion was born November 14, 1937, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Levi Derious Barzee and Inza Elizabeth Jones Barzee. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.

He joined the U.S. Navy in 1958, serving two years active duty as a Seaman and completed his service after serving two years on active reserve receiving an Honorable Discharge.

On April 15, 1960, he married Mary Denise Barzee in Goshen, Idaho. To this union were born six children. Marion and Denise made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Marion worked as a tow truck driver for Yellow Cab and Towing/Hendrickson’s Pro Towing.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marion enjoyed tinkering with anything with a motor and doing yard work.

Marion is survived by his loving son, Ronald Barzee of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Theresa (Jeff) Southwick of Ammon, ID; daughter, Debbie (Steve) Smith of Ammon, ID; son, Todd Barzee of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Daniel Barzee of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Eric (April) Barzee of Idaho Falls, ID; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers, three sisters and two granddaughters.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the Ammon Cemetery.

Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
