Marilyn Blanch Walters, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away
July 4, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village.
Marilyn was born November 13, 1932, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Arza Willburn Lewis and Verna E. Jenkins Lewis. She grew up and attended schools in St. Anthony and graduated from South Fremont High School. She also attended Ricks College where she majored in Psychology. Marilyn later attended the Idaho Falls Business College.
On December 2, 1955, she married Reese Jensen Walters at the St. Anthony LDS 1st Ward Church. To this union were born two children, Kevin and Douglas. Marilyn and Reese made their home in Idaho Falls, where Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, traveling with family, and spending time with family.
Marilyn is survived by her
son, Kevin R. Walters of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother, Nile (Joyce) Lewis of Rexburg, ID;
and 3 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arza and Verna Lewis; husband, Reese Walters; son, Douglas Walters; and brother, Gary Lewis.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at the Idaho Falls LDS Parkview Ward, 2051 South Emerson, with Bishop Dale Peterson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
