Marilyn Clarice Sydenstricker, 88, of Blackfoot, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away September 3, 2015, at Bingham Memorial Hospital Extended Care Center.
Marilyn was born June 26, 1927, in Live Oak, California, to Marvin Lewis Sydenstricker and Anna Lee Hartman Sydenstricker. She grew up and attended schools in Live Oak, California, and graduated from Live Oak High School. She also attended San Francisco State, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in the Arts.
Marilyn enjoyed opera, cooking and entertaining, painting, the arts, museums, camping, swimming, and the “idea” of gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and those she took under her wing.
Marilyn is survived by her
daughter, Camille (Michael Faller) Salanave of Ammon, ID;
daughter, Valerie Fox of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother, Dr. Lewis (Marcia) Sydenstricker of Monument, CO;
Four grandchildren, Elsha Parsons, Brenna Fox, Brieanna Fox, and Samantha Fox; and four great grandchildren, Jacob Salanave, Caitlyn Parsons, Tayler Parsons, and Braden Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jonathan Salanave, and a sister, Betty.
