Marilyn Montour

Marilyn Kaye Lamb Montour, 68, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away December 4, 2013, at her home. She was under the care of Idaho Home Health & Hospice. Marilyn was born June 28, 1945, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to David Crockett Lamb and Bonnie Marie Stephenson Lamb. She grew up and attended schools in Henryetta. She also attended Brigham Young University, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Calgary in Canada. On December 15, 1967, she married Theadore "Ted" Miachel Montour at Henryetta, Oklahoma. The marriage was solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona, LDS Temple in May 1969. To this union were born five children, Travis, Christopher, Sydney, Nathan, & Andrew. Marilyn worked as a homemaker and in data entry. She moved approximately 50 times and lived in Oklahoma, Canada, Salt Lake City, and California. Ted passed away September 30, 1994. She moved to Idaho Falls four and one half years ago. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in various capacities in the Primary and Relief Society organizations. She was an avid indexer for FamilySearch, helping make historical records searchable for others. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crochet, and playing and teaching the piano. Marilyn is survived by son, Travis Lee (Tammy) Montour of Frisco, TX; son, Christopher Robin (Beth) Montour of Alpine, UT; daughter, Sydney (Chris) Kilpack of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Nathan Edward (Jaquie) Montour of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Andrew John (Pam) Montour of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, David Crockett Lamb Jr. of Brigham City, UT; and 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, and parents Dave & Bonnie Lamb. Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS 19th Ward, 3370 N 500 W (East River Road), with Bishop Shawn Orgill of the Idaho Falls LDS 18th Ward officiating.
