Marilyn Hruska, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 10, 2018, at her home. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice and her loving family. Marilyn was born March 29, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Reed Cannon Bowman and Helen Elizabeth Lambert Bowman. She was raised by her mother and step-father, E.F. Pillsbury. She grew up and attended schools in Lapoint, Utah. Marilyn later attended the University of Utah where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marilyn enjoyed making various types of art including; still life, drawing portraits, rosemaling, china, ceramics and mosaic art. She also enjoyed taking care of her yard and many flowers. Marilyn is survived by her loving children, daughter, Susan A. Venegas of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Edward D. (Aurelia) Carlson of Littleton, CO; son, Robert M. Hruska of Folsom, CA; son, David S. Hruska of Seattle, WA; 5 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Edward F. Pillsbury, and her brother, David T. Pillsbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Primary Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 58249, Salt Lake City, Utah 84158. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior.
