Marilyn Lorraine Allen Carlson, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 10, 2015, at her home.
Marilyn was born July 11, 1943, in Redding California, to Neal Roche Allen and Lorraine Ann Crippen Allen. She grew up and attended schools in Redding and graduated from Shasta High School.
On September 13, 1961, she married Darrell Laroy Carlson in Tacoma, WA. They were blessed with three sons, Dion, Darren, and Jason. Marilyn and Darrell made their home in Boise, ID where she spent her days supporting and cheering on her boys in all of their activities which included football, motocross, and golf. Her life revolved around her boys.
Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she cherished every single moment she spent with them.
Her hobbies included making flower arrangements, working in her yard, and taking care of all of her animals. Marilyn was a very outgoing, friendly and kind person. She loved making new friends and never judged or looked down upon anyone. There was not a person or animal that she did not care about. She did whatever she could to make every ones life better.
She was a member of the New Hope Temple of God in Christ. She immensely enjoyed her fellowship with them and they all became such a huge part of her life.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Dion Carlson (Sue Iverson) of Salmon, Darren Carlson of Idaho Falls, and Jason Carlson of San Diego, CA; Daughter-in-law, Shantell Carlson of Idaho Falls; grandsons, Danner Carlson, Clayton Carlson, and Cole Tremelling; and granddaughter, Caitlyn Carlson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Laroy Carlson; father, Neal Roche Allen; and mother, Lorraine Ann Allen.
