Marieta "Rita" Anderson

Marieta Ann “Rita” Anderson, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at her home. Rita was born January 2, 1942, in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, to Avery Willard McKinney and Ruth Ann Sparks McKinney. She grew up and attended schools in Montana. She was a beautiful, caring woman. She took pride in taking care of others in need. She loved to fish and go camping. She spent most of her time gardening, and her yard was the envy of the neighborhood. She was a loved aunt, cousin, sister, and friend to all. She will be loved, treasured, and missed. She is at peace in heaven with her mom, dad, many brothers, and a sister. Rita is survived by her sister, Betty Riddle, of Spruce Pine, NC; brother, Billie Ray McKinney, of Idaho Falls, ID; niece, Julie McKinney, of Idaho Falls, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents, Avery Willard McKinney and Ruth Ann Sparks McKinney; sister, Peggy McKinney; brother, Perry McKinney; sister, Marilyn McKinney Pack; brother, Dubb McKinney; stepdad, Rod Butler; brother, J.R. McKinney; brother, Harry McKinney; companion, Richard Grow; her dog, “Angel;” and her cat, “Tippy.” Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
