IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Blanche Marie Rockwood Hansen, 86, of Idaho Falls, died May 22, 2003, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born March 19, 1917 to Bryant Nixon Rockwood and Vera Blanche Hain Rockwood in Iona, Idaho. She lived in Bone, Idaho as a child, Iona for the next 40 years, then in Idaho Falls. She married Irvin Willis December 9, 1935, to which union 3 children were born. They were later divorced. She married Vernal L. Hansen December 18, 1962. He preceded her in death. She worked as a Quality Assurance Lab Technician for Rogers Brothers Seed Company. Surviving are: Son: Laurel Dean (Gay) Willis, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Layle Paul (Cathy) Willis, Rigby, ID Daughter: Louise (Tim) Babbel Thorton, CO Stepson: Jerry (JoAnn) Hansen, Iona, ID Stepdaughter: Janice (Dennis) Ogata, Idaho Falls, ID Stepdaughter: Cathy Robison, Las Vegas, NV Brother: Eldon (Virgie) Rockwood Brother: Robert (Jewel) Rockwood Sister: Murile (Warren) Messenger Sister: Della (Dallas) Hales 26 Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Vern Hansen, brothers, Dean, Charles, Max. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, with Bishop Nolan Jensen officiating. The family will meet with friends Monday evening from 7-8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services on Tuesday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
