Marian Collen Niendorf Reynolds, 95, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 11, 2012, at Promontory Point Rehab in Ammon, Idaho. Born Marion Joan Niendorf, she was born April 20, 1916, in Drummond, Idaho, to Loyd John Niendorf and Effie Mae Garver Niendorf. She grew up in Drummond and Ashton and attended Fremont County schools, graduating from North Fremont High School. She also attended Idaho State College in Pocatello, Idaho. Marian was married to Jack J. Reynolds and later divorced. She was a homemaker, drove truck on an Army Air Base during World War II, and spent most of her career working as a senior secretary at the Idaho Chemical Processing Plant at the INL. Marian was a member of the Lutheran Church. She loved gardening, fishing, horses, and dogs. Marian is survived by her Son, Dennis R. Reynolds and wife, Patsy Thompson Reynolds, of Idaho Falls, ID; Granddaughter, Michele D. Reynolds and husband, Peter James Boyle II, of Mt. Colah, Australia; 5 Great Grandchildren, Peter James Boyle III, Dennis Patrick Boyle, Jack Reynolds Boyle (deceased), Tess Zion Boyle, and Ethan Jon Boyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Margaret Green, Peggy Smith, and Audrey McFarland, and three brothers, Jack, Robert, and Fred Niendorf. The family would like to express their appreciation to the nursing staff on the 6th floor at EIRMC and the caretakers at Promontory Point for the loving care and kindness that they extended to their mother. Private Family Services will be held.
