Marian Joy DuMars, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 14, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Marian was born August 20, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Richard Norbert Lazarski and Charlotte Ruth Goetsch Lazarski. She grew up and attended schools in Milwaukee and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy. Marian and her son, Jacob, made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Marian worked as a computer programmer for the INEL. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving cheerfully in many callings. As her health declined, she served from home making the ward bulletin each week, as music chairman, and a faithful visiting teacher by phone and email. Marian loved music and always had a song in her heart. She had a beautiful alto voice and shared her talent willingly at church, church activities, and casual neighborhood gatherings. She enjoyed playing the guitar, tole painting, crocheting and crafts. Marian is survived by her son, Jacob DuMars of Boise, ID; mother, Charlotte Lazarski of St.Francis, WI; sister, Margaret (David) Cotter of Fredrick, CO; sister, Barbara Lazarski of Las Vegas, NV; twin sister, Mary (William) McQuiston of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, John Lazarski of Cape Coral, FL; brother, Raymond (Joline) Lazarski of Oak Creek, WI; brother, William (Robin) Lazarski of South Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lazarski. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, with Bishop Brian McBride of the Sand Creek 1st Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
