Maria Sue (Hill) Jensen

Maria Sue Jensen, 61, of Ucon, passed away peacefully Friday, June 30, 2023, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Maria was born February 18, 1962, in Rexburg, Idaho, at Madison Memorial Hospital, to Ila Weekes Hill and Raymond Hill. She had three older brothers, Val, Lyle, and Danny, and one older sister, Diane.

She was a 1980 graduate from Bonneville High School and a college graduate receiving her Associate’s Degree from the LDS Business College.

In 1992, she welcomed her first child and daughter, Lisa Jensen. In 1994, she welcomed her second daughter, Kara Jensen. Two years later in 1996, she welcomed her first son, Isaac Jensen, and in 1999, she welcomed her second son and final baby, Samuel Jensen.

Maria was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She helped build a community for readiness and preparedness of food storage. She was known within the community to have a big heart, a helping hand, and an infectious personality.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Lisa Jensen, Kara Morris (Bryden Morris), Isaac Jensen (Deanna DeVestern), Samuel Jensen (Taylor Jensen); her father, Raymond Hill; siblings, Val Hill, Lyle Hill, Danny Hill, Diane Whitaker; in-laws; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother, lla Hill.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Monument Ward, 10854 North 41st East in Ucon. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
