MARGUERITE MCNAMARA IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marguerite Olsen McNamara, 85, formerly of Iona, died August 1, 2004, at the Pine Brook Assisted Living Center in Rigby. She was born January 23, 1919 in Iona to Theodore Eugene Olsen and Nina Johanna Clapp Olsen. She grew up in the area and graduated from Iona High School. On September 20, 1937, she married Joseph Daniel McNamara, Jr. in Idaho Falls and later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1982. On November 26, 1984, she married Bruce Rockwood. They were later divorced. She was the Postmaster in Iona, taught piano lessons in her home, and worked as a clerk in the Iona Grocery Store. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marguerite enjoyed music and loved to crochet afghans for her grandchildren. Surviving are: Son: Carlton “Ross” (Pat) McNamara, Spanish Fork, UT Son: Harlow Joseph (Judy) McNamara, Ammon, ID Son: Michael “Terry” (Kathy) McNamara, Iona, ID Daughter: Marguerite “Susie” (Ted) Ransom, Iona, ID Her family from her second husband: Daughter: Vonnie (Steve) Jaynes, Iona, ID Daughter: Tamara Morton, Roy, UT Daughter-in-law: Lois Rockwood, Idaho Falls, ID Also survived by: Brother: Ronald L. Olsen, Iona, ID Brother: E. Kay Olsen, Iona, ID Sister: Virginia O. Dahlquist, Idaho Falls, ID 20 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Evelyn McNamara. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at the Wood East Side Chapel (963 S. Ammon Rd.), with Bishop Kenneth Wrightson of the Iona LDS 2nd Ward officiating. The family will meet with friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, Idaho Falls, ID 83406.
