MARGUERITE FIELDING
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Marguerite Fielding, 85, long-time
Jameston resident, died May 3, 2004, at her home.
She was born December 29, 1918, in Iona, Idaho, to Ole
Christian Andreason and Mary Ellen Hunt Andreason. The family then moved
to Riverdale, where she attended schools in Shelley and graduated from
Shelley High School.
She married Frank Fielding at the Fielding family home
in Jameston, April 30, 1938. They farmed and raised their family there
and lived there until the time of her death. She worked as a clerk, secretary,
and for many years at the Riverview and Parkview Hospitals as a Medical
Transcriptionist and Secretary. She retired at age 62.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, serving as Primary Secretary, and various positions in Young Women's
and Relief Society. She loved gardening, rock gathering, sewing of all
kinds, needlework, crocheting afghans, was a voracious reader, and authored
many original poems, a few of which were published. She had a special
love and affinity with the ocean, and while raising their family, they
enjoyed many camping trips with friends and relatives; her wonderful sense
of humor, her beautiful optimism and especially her hugs will be missed
by her many loved ones.
