Margie Ann (Wilde) Mecham

Margie  Mecham, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 31, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Margie was born March 18, 1950, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Don Peterson Wilde and V. Ila Gray Wilde. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School. She also attended Ricks College.

On July 25, 1969, she married Grant Gerald Mecham in the Idaho Falls Temple. Margie and Grant made their home in Idaho Falls where Margie was co-owner of LeBaron’s Restaurant.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing playing golf, and family get togethers. Margie loved to read and could often be found with a book in her hands. She will be remembered for her many jokes told at any occasion.

Margie is survived by her son, Bruce Cori (Laura) Mecham of Hermiston, OR; son, Travis (Rebecca) Mecham of Kuna, ID; daughter, Tauna (Don) Fries of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Chris (Deidra) Mecham of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Sandra Stevens of Gilbert, AZ; brother, Donnie (Becky) Wilde of Idaho Falls, ID; and daughter by heart, Angie Olson; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Gerald Mecham; parents, Don and V. Ila Wilde; niece, Lacey Walker; grandson, Tydon Grant; nephew, Jeram Bell; brother-in-law, LeRoy Stevens; brother-in-law, Clay Mecham; brother-in-law, John Mecham; father-in-law, Carl Mecham; mother-in-law, Lucille Mecham; and daughter by heart, Jennie Sorenson.

The family will be holding services at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Lincoln 1st Ward, 3700 E. Lincoln Road in Idaho Falls.

Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery.
