She died peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 75 from Pulmonary Fibrosis on May 29, 2010. Margie was raised on the family farm near Lewisville, Idaho. She attended area schools and graduated from Rigby High School in 1953. Margie married her high school sweetheart Dale B. Kinghorn in 1954. In her early married years Margie and her family lived in many places including New Jersey, Alaska, Washington and California before settling in Idaho Falls, Idaho. It was in Idaho Falls where Margie and Dale owned Kinghorn Veterinary Clinic for many years. Their practice was very successful and well known through out the Western United States. It was during this time Margie met Harlan Fereday and they were married in 1998. They spent eleven wonderful years together. Margie and Harlan were kindred spirits as they both appreciated fine things and loved to travel. Some of their favorite times were annual trips to Mazatlan and to the Sun Valley Jazz Festival. Family was always Margie’s focus. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a doting grandmother. Her smile was never bigger than when holding one of her grandchildren. Margie was at her best when hosting a huge family gathering. She also made friends easily and developed many true life long friendships. Margie had a zest for life and loved all things beautiful.. She had a deep appreciation for art, history, music and the natural beauty of the outdoors. Margie was a talented artist herself, creating many beautiful oil paintings. Her passion was jewelry making. She designed many pieces from her vast collection of exotic beads and fine gems. Margie is survived by her husband Harlan Fereday, son Kirby M. Kinghorn, daughters Kolae M. Kinghorn, Kareen M. Freeman (Jim), Kami Kinghorn French (Shawn), and Krystal M. Kinghorn, brother Rod (Gus) Moedl, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, stepchildren Steve H. (Geertz) Fereday, Penny L. It's amazing how you and your mother look almost identical. The two of you share the same exact smile. I never had the opportunity to be blessed with meeting her. Your mother must have been a wonderful woman and I so do wish that I could have meet her. There is no question in my mind at what type of a remarkable woman she must have been and how many lives she graciously touched. You can tell that there was much love in the home. One can tell that "you knew that you were loved". Her video tribute was beautiful. If you ever need anything you know where I am.
